Nine For Nine Project Explained

images.png

My first big project of 2017 and my first project post undergrad is titled “Nine for Nine” and officially launches on April 10th 2017. I’m so excited! I’ve been working so hard this year to make sure I have everything in place for this project to be a success. What is “Nine for Nine” you ask? Well, “Nine for Nine” is a project where I will be releasing a new track on my Soundcloud (and YouTube) every 2nd Monday of the month for the rest of the year. By the end of 2017 I should have Nine tracks released in the last Nine months hence the name “Nine for Nine”.

Though I am primarily a Jazz musician this will not be a straight ahead jazz project. There will be a variety of different styles of music, Rock, Hip hop, and maybe even a Pop record or two. The goal is for each month to be a unique and different style of music then the month before. It’s like I put all my favorite music on shuffle and once a month I share what comes up. This project will not be a traditional album. It will probably sound odd if you listen to it from beginning to end. This will be is a fun and exciting project, a way for me to connect with all of you and push myself musically. I’m so nervous and so excited about what the next Nine Months will have in store for us all.

On this website I will be uploading my Soundcloud links and writing a brief description as to why I choose this tune, what it means to me, and maybe a funny story or two about the recording process. The best way to join me on this journey is by checking out my website and signing up for my newsletter. Any questions, comments, or concerns please leave a comment below and I’ll talk to you all April 10th at the latest!
